Who am I?
My name is Jacob Fletcher. I am a live sound and studio engineer based in the north-east (primarily Middlesbrough). I have been working live sound for local bands and artists for around 2 years now and i have had the opportunity to work with some talented up- and-coming acts such as Provenance, Gone Tomorrow, and Primaveras just to name a few
My time in the studio has mainly been for my own projects but across the last 3 years i have gained a lot of hands-on experience. Working with local talent such as High Tide, Memoria, and Cavello.
My most accessible pieces of work are the singles ‘Hold On To Me’ and ‘Fly Away’ by High Tide (of which I played bass and performed lead vocals, as well as engineering the sessions) and the single ‘Follow You Down’ by Fletcher which is part of my own EP that i co-produced alongside David Miller (Session drums, recording engineer). Links to those works are provided below

Live Sound Experience
Over the last 3 years i have had the opportunities to work with some fantastic artists. My primary haunt being NE Volume music bar and venue (2023 – 2025), i have also worked at outdoor events and venues such as KU bar, and Diego's Joint. All of this experience has taught me a myriad of skills, such as:
Time management
Client communication
Working under pressure
Dealing with the general public
Problem solving with time constraints
In my time as a live sound engineer i have worked for and with some big acts, consisting of the likes of Brooke Combe (as seen on Jimmy Kimmell), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Kyle Falconer (The View), The Subways, and The Antarctic Monkeys
Studio Experience
Over the last 3 years i have learnt a lot, be it through research, my own experimentation, or just time spent troubleshooting issues. I have recorded/produced/mixed multiple acts including myself. While not all of these have been/will be released it has given me the opportunity to improve on my skills as a mixing engineer
I have had the opportunity to work alongside studio engineer and session drummer David Miller in producing my own EP set to release later this year. This production is the first time either of us have sat down and set our sights on finishing a large project in a limited amount of time and was a huge learning curve for the both of us.
This process has taught me skills such as
Working towards self-set deadlines
Problem solving and troubleshooting in a studio environment
Developing effective and efficient workflows
Creative experimentation
working creatively with a collaborator
Other acts i have worked with in the studio include: Memoria, Cavello, High Tide, Nice guy, SHDE, Provenance
